  • Space: Bathroom

The client wanted a timeless Hamptons-style bathroom that felt bright, open, and elegant. The goal was to create a refined yet functional space, incorporating classic materials and thoughtful design choices to enhance both aesthetics and practicality.

This bathroom was awarded the MBA Bathroom of the Year in 2021, a testament to its outstanding design and craftsmanship.

A standout feature is the marble-look floor tiles, laid in a herringbone pattern to add texture and movement. The walls feature vertically laid subway tiles, creating the illusion of panelling while maintaining the durability and ease of maintenance that tiles provide. A custom vanity brings a bespoke element to the space, offering both storage and style.

Inspired by the Hamptons style, the bathroom embraces a light and airy feel with a soft neutral palette. The combination of classic tile choices and traditional detailing ensures the space remains elegant and timeless. By opting not to tile to full height, the design allows the walls to breathe, contributing to an open and inviting atmosphere.

Challenges & Solutions

One of the key challenges was achieving a balance between texture and simplicity, ensuring the space remained visually interesting without feeling cluttered. The use of different tile orientations, herringbone on the floor and vertical subway on the walls, created subtle contrast while maintaining harmony. The decision to leave some wall space untiled further enhanced the sense of openness.

Newr

Thank you NEWR for our two fabulous new bathrooms!! Bella and Craig created a stunningly beautiful design which far surpassed what I had been hoping to achieve. The whole team worked together to deliver an amazing result, on time and with minimal disruption to our daily life.

The quality of the workmanship is outstanding and we appreciated the friendliness and courtesy of all the team throughout the process. I have already recommended this company to friends and we look forward to working with them again in the future.
