Bellchambers Project
- Space: Bathroom
The Bellchambers Crescent clients contacted us just before Christmas, eager to begin their bathroom renovation as soon as we could schedule them in. Their existing bathroom was over 20 years old and well past its prime, with damaged joinery that made the space feel tired and unusable.
There was a clear vision for the new space – they wanted a bathroom that was clean, functional and beautiful, one that would serve them well for the next 20 years and still feel fresh when it came time to renovate again.
The design needed to be elevated and timeless to avoid feeling dated too quickly. With practicality and longevity as priorities, we collaborated closely with them to create a bathroom that balances style and lasting quality.
The clients shared an image of one of our previous projects they loved, which helped guide the inspiration for their bathroom’s final look and feel.
Green Subway Tile Feature Wall
The green subway tiles were used to create a subtle but striking feature in the back of their shower niche. Their colour adds depth and ties into the earthy, nature-inspired palette the clients were drawn to.
Custom Timber Vanity
We designed a custom timber-look vanity to introduce warmth and balance the cooler tones of the bath and tiles. The grain and colour bring softness and a connection to the home’s natural surroundings.
Concrete Bathtub as a Statement
A sculptural concrete freestanding bath anchors the room and brings a calm, natural texture to the space. It adds a sense of softness while making a strong visual impact.
Black ABI Interiors Tapware
Matte black tapware from ABI Interiors completes the space, offering a modern edge that contrasts beautifully with the natural textures and tones.
The overall look is clean and considered, blending earthy tones with bold yet timeless materials. The space now feels elevated and functional, with every design decision made to stand the test of time. The palette, lighting and layout all contribute to a bathroom that is calm, practical and designed to age gracefully.
The transformation was significant. What was once a dated and difficult space has now become a sanctuary the clients love using every day. From the materials to the custom joinery and layout, everything was selected with longevity and ease in mind.
