  • Space: Bathroom

This ensuite renovation in Hawker focused on creating a space that was not only beautiful but functional for the long term. The existing corner spa was removed to make way for a more accessible, future-proof layout — allowing our client to comfortably grow into the space for years to come.

They were wanting a space that felt soft and warm, without compromising on storage or style. A walk in shower and updated vanity were key priorities, along with finishes that would feel inviting and timeless.

Walk-in Shower with Niche

We introduced a walk-in shower with a built-in niche, paired with soft, tactile finishes to elevate everyday routines. A warm, earthy palette was used throughout, combining terrazzo-look tiles with natural timber-look joinery to bring softness and a sense of calm.

Custom Vanity and Mirrored Cabinetry

Custom vanity joinery provides ample storage without compromising on visual appeal, while mirrored cabinetry offers added functionality. Brushed nickel tapware and clean-lined fixtures bring a timeless, understated elegance.

Brushed Nickel Tapware and Earthy Finishes

The ensuite features brushed nickel tapware and clean lined fixtures that complement the understated palette. Terrazzo look floor tiles and timber inspired cabinetry add warmth and natural texture, creating a tranquil, spa like feel.

The client wanted a calm and grounded bathroom that felt modern but not stark. We introduced a warm, earthy palette built around terrazzo and timber elements, giving the space a soft, tactile quality.

Natural textures and neutral tones were layered to create visual interest without overwhelming the space. The result is a serene, welcoming ensuite that feels both contemporary and deeply personal.

Challenges & Solutions

The original ensuite layout was dominated by a large corner spa that reduced usable space and made the room feel closed in. By removing this and reconfiguring the layout around a walk in shower, we were able to open up the space and improve flow.

We also needed to ensure the design would be easy to navigate in years to come, so thoughtful placement of fittings and fixtures was critical. Every element was designed with long term use in mind, without sacrificing style or function.

This ensuite reflects our tailored approach to bathroom renovations in Canberra, where every design decision balances comfort, practicality, and contemporary style.
