Valli Project

  • Space: Kitchen

Our Valli clients came to us with a clear vision: to create a kitchen that felt warm, functional and full of character. They loved the charm of their home’s original features and wanted a space that celebrated these elements while introducing a timeless, practical layout that would work for modern family life. The renovation needed to support both relaxed daily routines and easy entertaining, with beautiful finishes, thoughtful storage and a strong sense of personality.

At the heart of the design is the forest green 2 Pac joinery, finished with a classic shaker profile that adds softness and subtle detail. This rich, grounding colour is paired with light terracotta subway tiles for the splashback, offering a soft contrast and bringing in earthy warmth.

We retained the home’s original exposed brickwork, which adds texture and authenticity to the space. Each surface was acid-washed to gently clean the bricks while preserving their patina and character, allowing the old and new elements to sit in harmony.

The Valli Project is a celebration of contrast and connection, where original textures meet tailored joinery and heritage charm blends with everyday function. The kitchen and dry bar now serve as the heart of the home, offering a beautiful, hardworking space that feels completely personal to the clients.

White stone benchtops keep the palette fresh and refined, while timber open shelving adds an organic layer that ties the tones together. A freestanding SMEG cooker was chosen for its combination of classic style and professional performance, supported by matching SMEG appliances that complete the space.

The overall aesthetic is a refined mix of traditional detailing and natural textures. Forest green cabinetry provides depth and drama, balanced by warm terracotta tones and soft timber accents. The exposed brick walls add a sense of history, made fresh with the careful acid-washing treatment. The palette feels grounded, welcoming and timeless, perfectly suited to the home’s character and the lifestyle of its owners.

With its layered palette, smart layout and meaningful details, this renovation is built to last and designed to be loved.
